In January and February of 2003, the Lord had been speaking to me about pastoring, especially about birthing a church at our central location in Copetown, something that would be beneficial to our ministry. The church would be called, "Eagles' Nest Fellowship". However, my heart and focus was much more attuned to the traveling and missions aspect of Eagle Worldwide Ministries. Many of our team members lived locally and were traveling throughout south Ontario with me. Some were experiencing problems of freely connecting in their local church because we were traveling and ministering so often and the Lord revealed to them that we needed our own fellowship.
After my little one-sided wrestling match with the Lord, I arranged a small
meeting of our core group at the Farm House, about twenty people. A friend and
ministry associate of mine, Ron Burgio who is the vice-president of Elim
Fellowship International and pastors Love Joy Church in Buffalo, NY, called me and
told me that he would be doing a conference not far from where I was located. I
asked him to stop by and bless our people. There was such a beautiful presence
of the Lord in the house, as we were birthing what He desired.
In March 2003, we birthed Eagles' Nest Fellowship and began to hold meetings at
Circle Square Ranch in Brantford, ON. After a few months of glorious meetings
and signs and wonders, the Lord led us to Carisma Church in downtown Hamilton.
The Lord gave me a dream that had in it the race that He had used to
demonstrate things to me while I worked with the Pastor Tony Silveira of
Carisma Church during nightly revival meetings in 2001. After a few months, He
showed us that He wanted us to be closer to the Retreat and Revival Centre. He
opened the door to the Copetown United Church, where we met for approximately
one year. Our attendance and use was a bit overwhelming and we outgrew the
facility. The Lord then led us to Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle. Senior Pastor
Brian Dunlop and Associate Pastor Roger Reid and the leadership of CPT have
been a great blessing to us.
Eagles' Nest has been the birthing center for a number of other ministries and
churches, as well as the home church for our administration staff, camp staff
and traveling team. Our leadership at Eagles' Nest is a strong and stable group
of elders and deacons who are not only a strong and positive force for our
local church and traveling team, but also have been launched out to birth and
minister in our other related fellowships such as Eagles' Nest T.O., Harvest
House in St. Catharines, The Gathering Place in Aurora, Jehovah Jireh in
Orangeville, and Caleb's Place in Washago.
Mave and I are the Senior Pastors over the work and minister at the Nest
