2 Corinthians 4:16-18
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day….
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

The priceless treasure of knowing God’s glory through faith in Christ…
is kept in the fragile containers called human beings. Containers that get older and less resilient…tired and worn down…discouraged disappointed… disgruntled and disheartened…

We can all lose heart now and then.
Maybe our outer self is wasting away… our joints are stiff and we don’t move as quickly as we would like… our energy level is lower and irritability a bit higher…

Perhaps our faith is being tested like never before.

During difficult days we must choose to let our spiritual eyes come alive…and look through a farsighted lens past what is seen, beyond what is perishing…and with our eyes of faith open we can see what cannot be seen…and get a glorious glimpse of eternity… that causes us to stay “focused to finish” our course and win our earthy race.
