SALE OF EWWM RETREAT & REVIVAL CENTRE
Below is a statement from Dr. Russ & Pastor Mave Moyer, and the Board of Directors of Eagle Worldwide Ministries, regarding the selling of the Retreat & Revival Centre property located at 976 Hwy 52, Copetown, ON.
Psalm 90: 1, 16, 17 Lord, You have been our dwelling place, our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability in all generations. Let Your work the signs of Your power be revealed to Your servants, And Your glorious majesty to their children, And let the gracious favour of the Lord our God be on us, confirm for us the work of our hands, Yes confirm the work of our hands.
God is with us and with the work of our hands in every season and every generation.
He is the God that never leaves us or forsakes us!!
Our decision to put the Eagle Worldwide campground for sale has come through many tears and much prayer.
As you are all aware, it’s been two years already that we have not been able to use the property and we are not certain if and when that restriction will lift and when it does what it will look like.
After spending significant time and expense with consultants and the City of Hamilton, we are not led to believe that we will be able to use the property year round for the purposes we had hoped for and amidst ongoing governmental regulations and restrictions the future is still looking uncertain.
As a ministry and board we’ve throughly discussed all of this and the fact that we all love the camp and have experienced wonderful memories and miracles together there, another fact is that not only does it take a lot of physical work on the grounds it also takes much personal dedication and consecration to facilitate Summer Camp every year.
The discipline and commitment required to carry the vision is huge on both an individual and corporate basis.
Going forward as a team we are in a new “mode of operation” in ministry and are not sensing to go forward with camp as we have in the past, as we feel it is a “new thing” God is doing this season.
This changing season has brought with it many challenges and decisions in the midst of the transition we have been making personally.
Passing the baton to the next generation has evidenced an emphasis on different styles of ministry, working together in a greater sphere of influence and as we move forward in many different applications and facilitations of ministries it will continue to shift and change and we must also be “willing to change.”
We are trusting God that this will make a way for us to develop “generational blessings” in new ways with ministry and missionary opportunities regionally, nationally and internationally.
We believe this will allow us to focus our energy and resources to make advances at the downtown Hub, the King’s Way Outreach, new mission bases in other places and traveling evangelical team ministry at home and abroad.
We will also be keeping our tents with the hope that we will be setting them up in different places with partners in ministry as the Lord leads.
This has been a very difficult decision to make, and we do not make it lightly. We have always endeavoured to seek the Lord and follow Him and His timing in every decision we make.
As we move forward, it is in agreement with all those who have worked diligently with us through many years and who will continue on in ministry at Eagle Worldwide.
Though things shift and change God remains the SAME !
“The BEST is yet to come”!!
