The world is a scary place today and especially so because the governing authorities seem less than fit in our estimation to serve as authorities over us. It’s also difficult to remember that God is sovereign over everything when “so many leaders” not just Trump…lie and cheat and are hypocritical and power hungry. Canada’s leadership is no better unfortunately. We are all at a loss of what is really happening and what is true.
God has the power to install and remove leaders. He uses good as well as bad people to accomplish his will in the world so that His highest good “will ultimately” take place. We may not understand it but Gods ways are not our ways…and His thoughts are higher.
We have to trust God in all things because we can’t know His full purpose for certain leaders. Pilate and the leaders at the time who allowed Jesus to be crucified were in authority in Jerusalem, and they…through their evil behaviors caused Jesus’s earthly death.
We will never understand God’s will without having a divine perspective

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge…How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his way. For who can know the Lord’s thoughts…Who knows enough to give him advice…
We can trust that everything will align with God’s purpose and plans in the world and they are plans for His ultimate good…
The Bible teaches us that God is in control no matter what. This should encourage us to trust in him when we don’t understand and even when we “don’t like” the character of the people in charge…
